GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Only gradual changes are expected in the weather forecast for West Michigan over the next several days.
A few clouds will drift across the region during the day Thursday; otherwise, mostly sunny conditions will prevail from Thursday through the majority of the weekend.
Temperatures have been unusually chilly so far this week, with morning lows again dropping into the 40s Thursday morning. Average lows are in the low 60s for mid-August.
However, a gradual warming trend will continue through the weekend. Highs will reach back into the mid 70s Thursday, with 80° readings expected again over the weekend.
More warmth and moisture will continue to move in for next week, with highs in the mid 80s and scattered thunderstorm chances Tuesday into Wednesday.
