GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — A plea deal has been reached for two people involved in a fatal hit and run Easter morning, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
Jeremie Collins,27, of Park Township, and Maly Phongsavanh, 23, of Holland, will each face up to five years in prison for hitting and killing 24-year-old Joshua Owens while racing along Ottawa Beach Road. Owens was crossing the road toward an ATM machine.
The two will remain free on bond until their sentencing Sept. 23.
