GRAND RAPIDS, Mich- A man has been pronounced dead after a scuba diving accident in the Grand River according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
Three people were scuba diving along the wall between the Fish Ladder and the dam when one person did not come up according to witnesses at the scene. This happened around 10:30 a.m.
The Grand Rapids Fire Department was able to get the person out of the water and transported them to a local hospital, but could not be revived.
The identity of the man has not been released, pending notification of his family.
This incident remains under investigation.
