GR Man Arrested After High Speed Chase In Northern Michigan

CADILLAC, Mich- A Grand Rapids man is in the Wexford County Jail after a high speed chase near Cadillac. According to the Michigan State Police, Troopers tried to pull the man over for a speeding Friday evening on US-131, but he did not pull over and took off.

The suspect then exited US-131 onto M-55 towards Cadillac, with speeds exceeding 100 mph.

During the chase, the suspect hit a patrol car and drove through a ditch. Then a trooper with their patrol car was able to tap the back of the suspect’s vehicle and bring it to a stop.

The 22-year-old suspect from Grand Rapids, was arrested and is being held at the Wexford County Jail on multiple charges including possession and intent to deliver cocaine and heroin.
