PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Human remains that were discovered last week in Hawaii have been identified as a man from Michigan who was reported missing in 2007.
According to the Honolulu Star Adviser, police recently recovered human remains at a remote location at the 12,000-foot elevation of the volcano Mauna Kea.
The remains have been identified through dental records as Brian Patrick Murphy of Plymouth, Michigan. He was 67 years old when he was reported missing in December of 2007.
