GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff Department says an elderly man that was missing since Thursday evening has been located.
Willard Verstrat, 87, was last seen Thursday at approximately 9:30 p.m. around Dean Lake and Knapp Street. He was last seen driving a 2006 black Hyundai four-door with Michigan registration BNH5729, with low fuel.
Deputies say relatives of Verstrat received a call from an alert citizen around 10:45 p.m. Friday in the Romulus area that Verstrat had been located at a gas station. Although he seemed confused, A Romulus Police Department Officer made contact with Verstrat without incident.
