ALLEGAN, Mich.- An 11-year combat veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan has died.
Sgt. Chris Schenk, 29, passed away Saturday, one month after a boating accident that left him paralyzed.
A member of the 125th infantry, family and friends are raising money for medical bills and other expenses. Sgt. Schenk’s girlfriend is expecting a baby boy in November.
