Free Energy? Glitch Gives Consumer’s Customers Cost-Free August

LANSING, Mich. — A computer glitch has created many temporarily happy Consumer’s Energy customers, who received no charge on their August bills.

According to the company, an unknown number of Consumer’s customers are receiving inaccurate bills stating they have a “zero balance” on their accounts.  Unfortunately, these customers will still be billed once the issue is resolved, though the company says that people affected by this will not be charged late fees.
