It happened at the intersection of County Road 384 and 62nd Street in Van Buren County’s Geneva Township.  Police say a 2002 Ford pickup truck was traveling on CR 384 and stopped at the intersection.  The driver, identified as 33-year-old Ma Jimenez of Florida, then proceeded into the intersection, where she was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck.

Jimenez complained of a head injury.  Her daughter, who was not wearing her seat belt in the back seat at the time of the accident, may have broken her leg.  The driver of the other truck was not injured.

Jimenez told police that she didn’t see the other truck when she pulled into the intersection.  She was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
