Two Suspects Sought After Grand Rapids Chase & Crash

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — There is a heavy police presence on 33rd Street and Eastern Avenue in Grand Rapids starting Thursday night and into early Friday morning after a chase and subsequent crash.

Three police agencies, Kentwood, Grand Rapids and Wyoming, are searching for two suspects in the area.  One suspect was taken into custody at the scene.

The incident started when shots were fired at Countryside Townhouses on 48th Street in Kentwood.  Police chased three male suspects in a red truck.  That truck hit a pole at 33rd and Eastern in Grand Rapids.  There are at least eight police cars on the scene.

Two guns were found in the vehicle.

Witnesses at the apartment complex told FOX 17 NEWS that kids were playing outside when shots were fired, that bullets were flying everywhere and that nobody was hurt.
