GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After a chilly weekend of weather around West Michigan, sunshine and more comfortable conditions will return during the day Tuesday.
Much of the region started seeing the clouds break late in the day Monday, and the clearing resulted in a cool morning Tuesday with a few areas of patchy fog.
Sun will hang on through most, if not all, of the daytime Tuesday before clouds move in from the west. A few showers will be nearby, but not likely arrive in our area until at least late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Temperatures will be a bit closer to average for late July, reaching the mid to upper 70s Tuesday afternoon. Highs will remain a few degrees below average, in the upper 70s to near 80°, through the next several days.
Scattered showers and possibly some thunderstorms are likely during the day Wednesday, with the rain clearing out again by early Thursday morning.
