IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — Daniel and Nicole Dines both pleaded guilty to larceny less than $200 Tuesday after being arrested for stealing iron from the recently burned down Whites Bridge July 9.
Both were sentenced to $875 in fines and court costs and one day in jail, but credit was given for time they’ve already served. They admitted to loading more than 200 pounds of scrap iron from the bridge into their truck.
The Whites Bridge in Ionia County burned down July 7, and until then was Michigan’s oldest standing covered bridge.
