PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were arrested early Monday morning in connection with three vehicle thefts in Ottawa County.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, a resident in the 5200 block of Dune Drift Drive in Port Sheldon Township called police at 4:50 a.m. after he saw people fleeing the scene and found things missing from his vehicle.
The suspects, a 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman from Grand Haven, were arrested in the same area when deputies arrived. Almost $1,000 in stolen merchandise from three different vehicles was discovered their own car after a search. They will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 30 in Ottawa County Court.
