GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- A 17-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting on Grand Rapids SE side. Police have now identified him as Jalen Thomas from Grand Rapids. At 2:52 am police were dispatched to the 800 block of Franklin Ave near Eastern. The victim was found about a half-block from the shooting scene near Eastern and Worden.
The victim was shot in the back and is listed in critical condition at a local hospital. The shooter is described as a light-skinned black male wearing a black jacket over a light colored shirt.
