ALLENDALE, Mich. — Any college or university that participates in federal financial aid programs is required by the Clery Act to disclose crime information for its campus and neighboring areas.
The Clery Act was named for Jeanne Clery, a student who was raped and murdered in 1986 at Lehigh University.
Below are some of the crime statistics that local universities provide in compliance with the Clery Act. Most institutions have them available on their websites, so if there are schools you are curious about, the information can likely be obtained through internet searches.
