COMSTOCK PARK– Detroit Tigers second baseman Omar Infante was in the West Michigan Whitecaps starting lineup Thursday for his second straight rehab stint with the club. Infante left the game in the fourth inning due to a set back to his injured left ankle. The Whitecaps would go on to defeat the Fort Wayne TinCaps 4-3. Infante was scheduled to join the Toledo Mud Hens tomorrow for another rehab assignment and join the Tigers by this weekend, but that now appears unlikely. Infante stated after the game that the pain to his left ankle was “real bad” and did not rule out that staying on the disabled list longer would be a possibility.
