BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Agriculture has issued a drinking water advisory in Battle Creek.
Residents and businesses located in Minges Creek Mall on Beckley Road are asked to boil their water for at least the next day or drink bottled water because a portion of the water system, including the filtration mechanisms, have been shut down for repairs. According to a press release, bacteria can enter the system, though it is “generally not harmful.”
The advisory will remain in effect until sampling verifies the water is safe to drink again.
