KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A home is a total loss after it caught fire Wednesday morning, and the heat was so intense, that it damaged a neighbor’s home and destroyed four cars.
It happened on N. Edwards Street shortly before 12:30 a.m., and when crews arrived to the scene, flames were coming out of the front and back of the house. Firefighters had to take a defensive approach because of the intensity.
Four people live at the home, but no one was inside at the time. They rent the house, and the homeowner is helping them with temporary housing.
At last check, there was no word on a cause.
