OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — AeroMed was called to the scene of two rollover accidents in northern Kent County Monday afternoon.
The first happened on 17 Mile Road near Cedar Springs High School, when a Kent County Road Commision dump truck tipped over after drifting off the shoulder.
Both the driver and the passenger were extracted using the jaws of life, and the driver was transported by AeroMed to Spectrum Hospital. The passenger was taken to Spectrum by ambulance, and both men were alert. The injuries were non-life threateneing.
The second accident involved a semi and a car in Oakfield Township that also resulted in a person being pinned inside their vehicle.
According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, the second rollover crash happened at 4:34 p.m. at 10600 14 Mile Rd. NE near Wabasis.
