KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A warehouse fire at A&D Auto Shop at the intersection of 29th Street and Breton Road in Kent County gave three Kentwood firefighters minor injures Monday afternoon.
According to responders at the scene, a garage door collapsed and hit the three men. The owner of the shop said that his cordless drill sparked near a van, causing the fire. He and two co-workers attempted to put it out, but the blaze soon got out of control.
The scene has now been contained, and the injured firefighters do not require any additional medical treatment.
