CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 90-year-old man was killed in a car-pedestrian accident on Thornapple Drive and Cascade Road Monday.
According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Pankhurst was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a car driven by a 45-year-old Ada woman Samukatha Chermala.
Pankhurst was transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, and died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
