PORTAGE, Mich. — Floyd Roach, the retired Portage teacher and cross country coach, was found dead at 5:30 p.m. Friday after going missing Sunday, July 14.
Roach, 71, was discovered in a wooded area near the 14-mile marker of I-94 in Berrien County after a search party located tire tracks going off the road and into a thick wooded area. The truck Roach drove was discovered along with his body. He died after suffering from an unspecified medical condition. His death remains under investigation by Michigan State Police
