GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A 66-year-old Hopkins man pleaded guilty Thursday to distributing child porn via the internet.
Ronald Eugene Mabee could spend up to 20 years behind bars for downloading child porn between 50 and 60 times and then distributing it to others.
His arrest was part of “Operation iGuardian,” a national investigation coordinated between several agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security. Mabee was one of 255 suspects taken into custody around the nation for similar crimes, and one of two local men arrested.
