GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — A 17-year-old from Holland pleaded no contest attempted murder after stabbing his roommate last December in their Park Township apartment.
Eric Ortega entered the plea in Ottawa County Court Tuesday for the assault with intent to murder charge. He will be sentenced Monday, Sept. 3.
According to police, Ortega stabbed his 32-year-old roommate several times in the chest and neck after an argument. The victim was critically injured, and a third person suffered minor injuries while attempting to stop the attack.
