KENTWOOD, Mich. — Five people were shot during a pool party in Kentwood Sunday night.
One person was shot in the mouth, and at least one other required surgery.
What started as a pool party at 4916 Farmview Court turned violent when ten unexpected people showed up, said Kentwood Police Sgt. Mark Davis. The shooting resulted from a scuffle.
Police received their first call at 11:44 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say a person was shot in the mouth, and taken to Spectrum Butterworth.
Neighbors tell police the gunfire erupted at a party.
The suspect is still at large, but no name has been released.
