The Wyoming Police Department requests assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in the assault of a Rapid bus driver. On July 9 at approximately 9:30 PM a female driver was punched by a male suspect who was a passenger on the bus. The suspect became verbally aggressive after the driver told him he would have to exit the bus or pay again after he had completed a ride of the entire bus route. The suspect (pictured below) then approached the driver and punched her in the face before exiting the bus and running southbound on S. Division Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20’s, 5’7-5’8, average build with a large afro.

He was last seen wearing a plain blue hooded sweatshirt, gray “Brookfield Zoo” t-shirt, and khaki shorts. He reportedly boarded the bus near Burton St and S. Division.
