GRAND RAPIDS , Mich. — A Kent County man possessed more than 42,000 images and 1,580 videos of child porn on his computer and was soliciting for more when he was arrested, according to a federal indictment filed in early June.

Jeffrey Victor Marchione, 47, is accused not only of possessing the illegal material, but sharing it over a peer-to-peer network. He was free on bond until prosecutors filed a superseding indictment this week, accusing him of molesting a 12-year-old boy.  The alleged victim came forward shortly after Marchione’s initial June 5 indictment, and he was charged with that sexual abuse Thursday, July 11.

Court documents graphically detail some of the files allegedly found in Marchione’s possession, and several internet chat sessions he is accused of having with other people looking to download or share the child porn.

“I have all age ranges,” a chat message attributed to Marchione from January 2012 reads.  “I have [sic] sa lil for everyone.”

Marchione is also accused of having a 150-page manifesto that shows how to find and molest a child without the child telling anyone about it.

“The document instructs people, specifically men, to become mentors, coaches or counselors in their local community to find a child to molest,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Tessa Hessmiller wrote in the indictment following the molestation charges.

The current conditions of Marchione’s bond do not restrict his access to children, but the federal authorities ask that the court revoke his bond and that he remain behind bars until his trial.
