GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Firefighters pulled at least one person from a house fire early Friday morning.
The fire started in the basement of a home at 1058 White Ave NW in Grand Rapids. The smoke detectors went off, and the family who lives there attempted to put the flames out themselves, but were unsuccessful. Five people were inside at the time of the fire.
When crews arrived, they went inside and found a man in his 40s who was unresponsive. The pulled him from the home and he was taken to the hospital. The man’s condition is not known at this time.
