Holland Police Identify Suspect In Armed Robbery

HOLLAND, Mich — The search could be headed to Chicago for one of West Michigan’s Most Wanted.

The Holland Department of Public Safety named Sergio Jalon Guy as the suspect on Tuesday, July 9, for an incident that happened back on May 30. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is now authorizing a nationwide pickup for his arrest.

The robbery happened in the 200 block of Pine Avenue, just before 2 a.m. on May 30. Neighbors say a couple and their two children were home at the time, and two suspects kicked the door in, and even held a gun to one of the victims’ heads.

Shots were reported fired during the robbery as well.

Guy faces charges of assault with intent to rob while armed, home invasion, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and felony weapons.

He may have fled to Chicago.

Guy is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 23 years old, weighs around 160 pounds and stands 5′ 10″. He also has a distinctive tattoo above his left eye that reads “R.I.P. Vinnie.”
