WAYLAND, Mich. – One person is in critical condition and four other people were taken to the hospital after crashing into a tree on a four-wheeler late Saturday night.
It happened in the 3000 block of 4th Street in Wayland a little after midnight. According to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, two adults and two minors were involved in the crash.
One person was lifted by Aeromed and is still in critical condition, while the three other people were transported by ambulance and have non life-threatening injuries.
None of the riders were wearing helmets and police believe alcohol was not a factor.
No names are being released at this time and the crash remains under investigation.
