SPRINGFIELD, Mich.- A 30-year-old man has been taken to the hospital after he was burned by a firework.
Witnesses say the man was trying to light a mortar type firework when it exploded early in his face. Police were called to the accident near Avenue B and 14th Street around 11:00pm on Thursday.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He does have a broken wrist along with 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face and hands.
