PORTAGE, Mich.- Portage Police are still investigating a 3 car crash that happened just before midnight on Friday, July 5th.
Police were called to I-94 Eastbound near mile marker 78 that’s the Portage and Kilgore Road exit for that crash. Police say a 42-year old Kalamazoo man’s car hit the guardrail before coming back to rest in the middle of the road. His car was then hit by two other on-coming cars, one driven by a 27-year-old Portage man and the other by a 21-year-old-Mattawan woman. The driver of the car that hit the guardrail was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Portage Police believe at least two of those drivers did have alcohol in their system. Police are still investigating and say if you know anything about this accident, please call the Portage Department of Public Safety at 1-269-329-4567.
