OSHTEMO TWP, Mich. — A Kalamazoo woman previously reported missing has been killed after a car hit her.
The incident happened at 2:51 a.m. on Tuesday at West Main and 7th Streets.
Police say that a 25-year-old female from Kalamazoo hit the victim, 40, but speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors. The victim, who was found partially clothed, was taken to Bronson Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department had been investigating a case of a woman missing from West Main and 10th Streets that evening after her husband called police, concerned for her welfare. Deputies identified the missing person as the victim in this crash. At last check, police have not released any names.
