KENT CITY, Mich. — A train fire shut down a portion of downtown Kent City Monday afternoon.
At 2:15 p.m., Kent County firefighters were called to the tracks at Ball Creek Road NW and Rusco Road for a train engine on fire. Crews contained the fire and the intersection is now open following several traffic delays. There were no injuries, and it is unclear what caused the fire.
