MARNE, Mich. – At approximately 6:25pm on Saturday evening a male driver in his early 20s was heading west on Berlin Fair Drive when he lost control of his vehicle, which proceeded to roll several times. He was then ejected from the vehicle. His injuries are being reported as non-life-threatening.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department tells FOX 17 that the driver was trying to go to the Berlin Raceway but missed the entrance and continued heading toward 24th Avenue. Officials believe the driver accelerated his speed when he approached a curve in the road and lost control of his vehicle. While investigating the accident, officials blocked off Berlin Fair Drive. Deputies on the scene could not tell if the driver was wearing his seat belt or if it came off during the impact. Officials are considering this to be an alcohol-related incident.
