Friday Forecast: Much Like Yesterday

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Like Thursday, Friday will feature some scattered showers and thunderstorms as upper-level disturbances rotate through the Great Lakes.

The pattern heading into the weekend will remain somewhat similar — fairly quiet mornings, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms popping up in the afternoons.  Areas away from the lakeshore will have the best chances for rain, but it will be very hit and miss.

Cooler and drier air will gradually start to filter into the region, leading to less humid-feeling conditions and more comfortable nighttime temperatures.  Highs will slip into the 70s over the weekend as well.

Rain chances will diminish on Saturday to just a few isolated thundershowers, while Sunday may end up totally dry.
