Montcalm County, Mich. – 21-year-old Alexander James Johnston of Sheridan was arraigned on a charge of larceny in a building after attempting to break-in a home in Montcalm County.
It happened in the 3000 block of East Condensery Road just before noon on Tuesday, June 25.
The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department says Johnston arrived at the home on a mini bike and attempted to open a side door. He was unsuccessful, but did enter a garage where he took gas from a gas can to refuel his mini bike. He left the scene and was later arrested by Montcalm County Deputies.
He remains in jail on a $2,000.00 cash bond. Johnston also has a parole detainer as a result of his recent actions.
