WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — Severe weather is possible Monday evening in parts of West Michigan. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until Midnight for most areas along and south of I-96. This includes Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, and Branch Counties.
Damaging winds are the main threat. As a line of thunderstorms moves in from Northern Illinois, there could be some damage in parts of West Michigan.
