(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) — The official start to summer was rung in at 1:04 AM this Friday morning and it is going to start to feel like summer around West Michigan. Heat and humidity will build in through the morning and afternoon hours Friday as temperatures warm into the mid 80’s. Most of the day should remain dry however rain showers moving across the lake this afternoon could allow for some sprinkles to be possible however most of the area should remain dry for the day today.
Better rain chances arrive later Friday night and Saturday morning. Hot and humid conditions will allow for more chances for showers and thunderstorms to develop. Storm chances continue through the beginning of next week as we settle into a more unsettled pattern.
