HOLLAND TOWNSHIP,Mich. — A 42-year-old Holland man is in serious condition after being hit by a car while waiting on a sidewalk to cross the street.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff Department the accident happened Thursday June 20 at 7:19pm at the corner of Douglas and Aniline in Holland Township.
Deputies say that 28-year-old Miquel Martinez was traveling eastbound on Douglas and making a left turn on Aniline when he his car was hit by another vehicle traveling westbound on Douglas. The impact sent Martinez’s car spinning up onto the sidewalk hitting 42-year-old Michael Hansen JR. Hansen was on his bicycle waiting to cross the street.
The accident is still under investigation.
