MARTIN, Mich- Update: Power was restored around 3:30 Sunday afternoon in the Martin Township area.
There were roughly 1,300 people with out power in the Martin and Martin Township area Sunday afternoon according to Consumers Energy.
Crews were doing storm related restoration in the area, when a squirrel got into the substation and caused a bigger issue.
Consumers Energy does have crews working to fix the issue. Consumers Energy hopes to have the power restored by 4 p.m.
