GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Griffins lost game four of the Calder Cup series 3-2 after leading the Syracuse Crunch three games to one.
A packed Van Andel Arena hosted 10,834 attendees as the Crunch beat the Griffins 3-2.
After an intense first period with with one goal from each team within the first five minutes, the second period didn’t heat up until the end, with Syracuse taking the lead 3-2. The third period was scoreless, but an intense fight broke out on the ice after the Griffins almost scored, but officials denied the goal.
Game five of the series will be at Van Andel Saturday at 7 p.m.
