GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Tomas Tatar is an NHL player. He just hasn’t been able to spend much time in hockey’s top league.
Tatar played 18 games with the Detroit Red Wings and posted seven points (4 Goals, 3 Assists), but was reassigned to Grand Rapids in mid-March and never returned to the NHL. Tatar accepted the demotion, but felt he was still an NHL-caliber player.
Instead of being disgruntled and letting it affect his play, Tatar has become motivated and flourished. He has set the Griffins franchise-record for most goals in a single postseason with 12. For more on Tatar, check out the video.
