GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – FOX 17 had a special guest sit down with the morning crew on the big red couch.
Amy Diersch is an athlete in the upcoming Special Olympics 6th Annual Highlands Golf Classic on June 21.
The event will help raise funds for athletes in both Kent and Barry counties.

Tim Doty says, “A lot of golf outings are for a cause that get a brief mention before the tee off and after the final putt drops. At the Special Olympics outing you can get up close and personal with the athletes that are aided by the event. That’s what makes it special and fun. Heck, one of them might even hit it closer to the hole than you, then talk trash about it.”
