Kalamazoo, Mich. — Friday Officers from the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team acted on several tips from citizens regarding drug trafficking in the area of 1200 E Stockbridge. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence based on intelligence of weapons inside.

Upon executing the search warrant, a 39-year-old Kalamazoo resident was located inside and found to be the only occupant of the residence.  Once the residence was secured, a 40-year-old male who also lived at the residence arrived.  During the search of the residence, a large quantity of marijuana, packaging materials, a semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, and loaded magazines were recovered.  As a result of this investigation, both individuals were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department on a variety of drug and weapon charges.
