LAS VEGAS, Nev. – It will be a battle of the unbeatens in September when Grand Rapids native Floyd Mayweather, Jr., steps in to the ring against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
Mayweather announced the bout on Twitter.
The two undefeated fighters agreed Tuesday to fight each other on September 14 in a pay-per-view bout at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
36-year-old Mayweather is 44-0, with 26 knockouts. The 22-year-old Alvarez is 42-0-1, with 30 knockouts.
