Tornadoes Cause Damage in Genesee County

GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. – Several tornadoes are responsible for damage left behind near Flint, according to the National Weather Service.

One tornado touched down near Goodrich High School.  It was part of a storm system that touched off severe thunderstorms across Michigan’s lower peninsula.

There were no injuries reported, but there was damage done to houses and other buildings, not to mention widespread power outages in the area.

Several funnel clouds were reported in the Kalamazoo area, and the weather service also received damage reports from Lansing and southern Shiawasee County.
