GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Today organizers for the Festival of the Arts announced that the Festival Regional Arts Exhibition will be held at the Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts (UICA). This year’s exhibition will feature about 280 artists from the West Michigan area.
Fred Bivins, Regional Arts Exhibition Co-Chair, told FOX 17 that the Festival of the Arts was looking for a long-term partner for the exhibit and knew that the UICA would be a logical choice for the event. The UICA highlights contemporary art and is known for being a space for regional artists to have temporary shows. Both organizations are thrilled to be working together this summer and in the future.
The exhibit will be on display May 31st through August 18th, with free admission during Festival weekend, June 7th-9th. Here’s a complete list of artists and their work that will be showcased.
