HOWARD CITY, Mich. – The Howard City Police Department arrested a 56-year-old man from Howard City after he was found inside a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was reported as stolen out of Grand Rapids around 5:24 p.m. on Monday.
The man was found driving the stolen vehicle on West Shaw Street in Howard City, after reports that it was suspicious. The vehicle had been spotted at a local business and was under surveillance when the suspect returned to it and drove away.
The suspect was lodged at the Montcalm County Jail, and Grand Rapids Police has also issued a felony warrant for the suspect.
The vehicle, a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan was impounded pending release to the owner.
The Howard City Police Department is investigating whether or not this case is related to reports of a similar suspicious van in the area.
