GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — A group of veterans will land at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Tuesday to take part in Fashion Has Heart.
The five wounded veterans will be in West Michigan for a week, working on artwork at Grid 70.
Fashion Has Heart is a nonprofit organization that serves to provide a creative outlet for wounded heroes. Last year’s veteran artists shared their pieces in the ArtPrize competition, and that trend will continue in 2013. This year’s pieces will debut during ArtPrize.
The organization has received a letter from the White House and a recognition letter from Senator Debbie Stabenow.
